The real problem

You've already tried everything else

And she went straight back to the couch. Here's why that keeps happening.

01

Scratching isn't a choice

It sheds old claw sheaths, stretches her back and marks territory. She physically has to do it. Telling her off doesn't remove the need — it just teaches her to do it when you're not looking.

02

Your sofa is the best option in the room

Tall, stable, rough-woven, and right where the family sits. A flat cardboard pad on the floor isn't competing with that — it's not even in the same category.

03

So you hide an eyesore, or you lose the couch

Most cat trees are six feet of beige carpet you'd rather guests didn't see. So it goes in the spare room — where she never goes — and the sofa keeps taking it.

Give her a better option in the room she actually lives in, and the couch stops being the target.

How it helps

One piece of furniture doing three jobs

The Scratcher House with a close-up of the thickened corrugated cardboard scratching surface

Somewhere she's allowed to wreck

Thickened corrugated cardboard panels line the sides and both floors, set into a wood frame. That texture is what claws are looking for — it catches, it shreds, it gives.

  • The cardboard takes the damage instead of your upholstery
  • Rough enough to pull off old claw sheaths
  • Set into the frame, so it doesn't slide around the room

Two floors, so two cats aren't negotiating

An open upper deck to sprawl on and survey the room from, and a lower hideout with two cat-head doorways to vanish into. Four teaser balls hang on elastic across both levels, so it's a play spot too — not furniture she walks past.

  • Two separate doorways into the lower level
  • Upper deck sized for a full-grown cat to stretch out
  • Reinforced screws at every corner, so it holds when she launches off the top

It can live in the living room

Warm wood grain, rounded corners, roughly the footprint of a side table. It sits next to the couch without announcing itself — which matters, because the couch is exactly where it needs to be to work.

  • About the height of a sofa arm — right where she already scratches
  • No beige carpet, no six-foot tower
  • Doubles as a surface you can actually put a mug on

Before you ask

Honest answers

Will my cat actually use it, or will she sit in the box it came in?

We're not going to promise you she will — nobody who's ever met a cat could promise that. What we can tell you is what moves the odds: put it where she already scratches, not where you'd prefer it lived. If she works the sofa arm, put it beside the sofa arm. Most cats investigate a new enclosed space within a day or two, and the corrugated texture is the part that does the convincing.

How big is it?

Assembled, it's 48 cm wide, 28 cm deep and 51 cm tall — about 18.9" × 11.0" × 20.1". Roughly the footprint of a side table, and about the height of a sofa arm, which is exactly where you want it. It arrives flat in a 28 × 18 × 45 cm box and you put it together. The upper deck runs the full 48 cm width, so a full-grown cat can stretch out on top; if your cat is very large, that deck is where she'll live and the lower hideout will be cosy rather than roomy.

Can two cats really use it at the same time?

Yes — that's the reason for the two floors and the two separate doorways. One on the deck, one inside, and neither has to walk past the other to get in. In a multi-cat house that separation is most of the point.

How long does the cardboard last?

It depends entirely on your cat. Corrugated cardboard is a wear surface — it's meant to be shredded, and a determined daily scratcher will visibly work through the panels over months. That's the trade: the cardboard wears instead of your sofa. The wood frame is the part that lasts.

How hard is the assembly?

It ships flat and goes together with the included screws and hardware. It's a screwdriver job, not a workshop job. Reinforced screws at the corners are what keep it steady once she starts launching off the top.

How fast does it ship?

Free shipping within the US, from our US warehouse. We dispatch in 1–3 business days and it's typically delivered in 3–5 business days, with tracking emailed to you when it leaves.

What if it arrives damaged?

Send us a photo and we'll replace it or refund you — our cost, no return shipping to sort out. That's on us, not on you.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Yes — 30 days, unused and in the original packaging, with return shipping paid by you. We'd rather tell you that plainly up front than surprise you with it later.
